I'm debating about getting a tattoo, here's my rough idea http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g313/ldd114/tattoominedesign.jpg . Is it painful or does it depend on where you get it or what? Some info/feedback would be great.

yes, actually, I did draw it myself... but I'm not really talented; I looked off a picture for the rose...freehand though, just show me a picture and I can draw it, took about 30 min. though...

Well I have no idea how old you are but will give you just this one piece of advice. Tattoo's are permanent. So although they may look fantastic on you when you are young, you also have to think about how they will look in 20 - 30 years. If you are young then it can also interfere with what you wear and how you will dress later in life if you are employed as a professional. Yes getting a tattoo can be painful while having it done but pain disappears after it is completed.

A really nice design! I suppose it would be presumptuous to ask where it's going??? At any rate, I won't lie to ya, it's a triffle painful... in fact it's down right irritating... you may wnat to have a few "shots of courage" prior to the event>>>>
If I were you, I'd check the yellow pages or the free rag "City Pages," the various tatoo artists should be listed in there for sure and you can let your fingers do the comparison shopping. Check out "years in business" any recommendations or "word of mouth," and ask if they guarantee their work.

Don't do it. Later in life, when your old and your body doesn't look so good that tattoo won't be so cool. Everybody is getting tattoos these days, it's not cool anymore because everyone's doing it. It's gotten to the point where our society is starting to look like a bunch of pirates walking around or like one of those Mad Max post apocalypse movies, it's ridiculous.

.Don't do it. You seem to really enjoy drawing, write on something else. Don't make permanent marks on your flesh because we live in a world that is ever changing and we outgrow some youthful fetishes, but that tattoo will hold you at a place you want be able to forget or remove. I am only saying this because you asked.

Caleb Matthew is lovely, I'd switch it to Matthew Caleb despite the fact that for a ten/10! Clara Amelia does not glide when you consider that they each result in 'ah'. Amelia Claire could get a ten/10 from me.

I have 3 tattoos. It hurts alittle but its bearable. Go for it! If you want to get that tattoo id let the tattoo artist draw it alittle better more symetrical and everything good luck and have fun!

It can be painful. You should only get it where it can be covered by clothing. Never a good idea to tattoo the name of your significant other even if you're married.

When you get into your 80's that butterfly is going to look like big bird and the Rose is going to look like an oak tree.
Tattoos are way to permanent.

I'm not going to lie, it will hurt wherever you get it, some places won't hurt as bad depending on where you get them. Your drawing is pretty cool.
