All the time. I don't think it is a statement on their lack of intelligence, but rather that people are becoming lazy and self involved. They do not take the time to learn about the world around them or feel an obligation to get better at making their own way through it.

If you feel that you have to "dumb" things down, then you are one of those folks who would rather be confusing than understood. I met a few of those in college. It's almost laughable. Narcissism has no bounds.
The goal of a good speaker or a teacher---both usually have far more education than their students---is to ensure that the subject matter or the points required for the course are clear, concise, and retained by the students. If a student doesn't seem to be able to grasp the finer points of a subject, the fault may lie with the teacher's or professor's inability to make the the points clear; some folks just would rather hear themselves "sound" brilliant, than they would see a student (or whoever happens to be the audience) succeed in understanding the presentation.

All the time, but then, I work with little kids, so it's not "dumbing" it down so much as telling them in words they can understand.

I also did the 5 2d Pose. purely no longer on digicam. DX replaced into wide decrease back in junior extreme. Many youthful toddlers wore the t-shirts and the gestures, pretty the crotch-chop. shall we pretend the faculty room replaced into "raw" pretty circumstances. I easily were given stuck doing that purely as a instructor walked into the faculty room. i did not get into difficulty, yet i finished doing the crotch-chop after that.

I feel like that a lot. I worry that I am just being conceited sometimes, but I know from experience that people don't understand me, or misunderstand me if I don't take it down a notch.

The hardest part about it is the feeling that you're alone most of the time. Somehow separate from everyone else.
There have been times when I thought it would be easier to be not quite so smart. (I know that sounds egotistical, I don't mean it to be)
