Why do I hear so many people say "she needs to get help" or "they should prosecute the husband"? I hate to break it to you, but SHE did it all on her own. I don't care what my husband, family, friends, church, etc. did or did not do, I would NEVER hurt my children. There are plenty of single mothers out there. Do you see them murdering babies? There are plenty of woman out there who have it way worse than she did, and they don't murder their children in cold blood! And, she doesn't deserve help. She deserves to be beaten to death!
So, My question is, Why do so many people feel the need to defend her "illness"? And, Why do they feel the need to place blame elsewhere?

I have a background as a professional and have had severe episodes of bipolar disorder since I was in my adolescents. When the world seems dark and gloomy I WOULD NEVER EVER hurt my child. What she she did was obviously premediated. She should not be allowed to be around any children let alone having children down the road... NO MATTER HOW MUCH SHE SAYS SHE HAS CHANGED!!!

Obviously you are clueless about the depths of mental illness, and you are most certainly devoid of true compassion and understanding. I pity you.
She may have done this on her own, but the husband was told from THE THIRD BABY that he shouldn't get her pregnant. He may have not had a direct role in killing her children. However, he was most definitely an accessory before the fact. He should have been prosecuted and imprissoned instead of being allowed to get a divorce and remarry.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm not going to stand here and defend her "illness". Any mother that drowns her children in a bathtub and any father who doesn't do anything about it do now deserve to see the light of day, let alone be parents. I mean, hello father, don't you see any warning signs that your wife and the mother of your children isn't exactly the brightest bulb on the string? I would think he'd have reported something by now, don't you?

I don't defend her "illness". I just think about those 5 boys especially the oldest who struggled and fought for his life. He knew he was being killed by his mother. What a horrible thing. If ANYONE deserves the death penalty, it's HER.
She could be out walking around in a year or so. That's INSANE.

Watch the movie, A Beautiful Mind (Russel Crow) and then ask yourself whether someone like him (almost drowns baby in movie) belongs in prison or a mental institution.

because it was an illness-- the fu*kin dr. told them another pregnancy would bring out a more intense illness next time -- he took her off the meds. & they were told not to leave her alone w/ her kids- & she was left alone! hello who plots to kill their kids & spend GOD knows how long in a friggin looney bin-- oh an insane person. a sane person would of left her husband & gave him custody-- or @ least went back to work.this is just a sad situation no matter how you look @ it orhow much you dont understand

you would think we would want to put the people who are so crazy they would kill 5 people in prison for good
i believe anyone who kills people has got to have a few wires in the head connected wrong - so they should be behind bars for good - even if they are padded pink bars - just keep them away from the public - don't send them home in 10 years with a bottle of meds and expect them to take them!

prison is to good just do her like she did her kids an eye for an eye and her husband too for watching her insanity but not doing anyhting til after the fact they should make him liable if he isnt insane
