He shoots too much and chokes in big game. That's how he is an overrated player.

I don't think T-Mac gets enough buzz to be overrated anymore. The world seems rather indifferent to him. He's really good, but there a lot of players just as good. He was injured most of last season, how he could have become overrated over that time is a mystery to me
Draw a line between bad person and overrated player. Dwayne Wade is THE overrated player right now. I tell that to everyone. But he seems like the nicest guy ever. Complete NBA poster boy. There's a difference. Did T-Mac torch your house or something? Lay off

Tracy mcgrady is not overated a not a bad person he been injured this year and played only 47 games he average 24.4point 6 rebounds 5 assist and throw injuries he is a good guy he made a boy wish come true on sportcenter and when he is health he always a mvp canidate he averge in orlando 2002-2003 32.7 points he career high is 62 point and last year he score a unreal 13 points in 35seconds that one the best plays in the nba he is not overated he is on the front of nba live 2007 and nuber 12 in scoring this year and when health i put him in the top five good player in the nba .

well, first of all, I don't think he's a bad player at all. He's been hurt way too much, yes, but that is not a reason to call him an overrated player. If you'll remember, he averaged over 32 ppg in 02-03. Since then, the drop off hasn't been that significent. And your other question, I don't think he's a bad person either. You never hear of him getting arrested or beating his wife, or getting into fights on the court. Also, did you see his special on ESPN, that My Wish? That doesn't seem like a bad guy to me.

dont know where you got mcgrady being a bad person. he's pretty active in charities and such. as far as being overrated, it mostly comes from his lack of defense. his defense used to be horrible in his toronto/orlando days. hes still no lockdown defender, but hes improved alot from Van Gundy. other than that he's still a top 10 player when hes healthy.

i want to see you do better. Tracy Mcgrady trys his best. He scored 62 points and scored 13 points in the last minute of a game to upset the spurs you can't even score 2 points

He took down the scoring title a few years back. He has a higher career point average than names like Charles Barkley, David Thompson, Tim Duncan, Bob McAdoo, Dirk Nowitzki, Julius Erving just to name a few...Oh and eh, he's on the cover of NBA Live 2007. Actually he was just in my area promoting a camp for kids and explaining how important education is. I read it in the newspaper. He wounds like a guy who cares to me. I've found the article for you.
Plus he's played for really bad teams so I could see how people think he's overrated.

I just wonder from where you came up with your conclusion that he is a bad person!!! overrated? we can argue that..but bad person!!!!
he had lots of injuries and yes he shoots a lot. But when was the last time we heard anything about T-Mac?
