after a friend sent me a RAR. file - i used winRAR to decompress it
after sucessfully decompressing it though, every time i try to open the program it says:
"could not complete your request because of missing or invalid personalization information"
- what is it talking about exactly?? i used 'repair' to see but nothing changed

U have already decompressed it? Are u sure? Normally i have problem in decompressing the RAR.file, die to missing files. I have to download all the files, then decompress together, then the 3 files will become 1 file.
What's the format of the file after u have decompressed? Is it a mp3 or movie file? If cannot open it after successfully decompressed, the file must have corrupted.. Repair no use also, too bad

Most likely it means that when your friend uploaded that file, it went corrupt. It happens sometimes. Ask him to re-upload it.
