well, i am absouletly sure they are affordable, well depending on how much you think that is. I am sure you can buy them now, the problem is the motherboard. Things will progress and take the next step, and once they do, the advancedments that thye will make just on harddrives alone...

I think the problem is that hardrives are limited in SPEED not SPACE. I heard of a knew idea to eliminate the hard drive and make a ram-type system with an added battery to increase speed. See ram is much faster and has faster data transfer to the motehrboard than a harddrive does becuase harddrives are limited via, moving parts... however ram is all virtual. I dont know I think its a cool idea.

it will be affordable in 10-15 years. I used to have a 200 megabyte computer and now they have things the size of a credit card that have 20 times that memory for a quarter of the price.

The PCs will, Macs will still cost an arm and a leg

At first they won't be affordable, but eventually (years and years later) everyone will have one as technology develops further. At least that's been the trend so far, I don't see why it would be much different with this upgrade/jump in tech.

Sure...

When the technology is CURRENT it will be affordable.

I have a PENTABYTE.. on server... a terabyte is just 1000 x that.
