probably carpal tunnel syndrome. you need to stretch the muscles in your hand and massage the pad of your thumb if this relieves it, it more than likely is. if it is causing pain in your arm enough to wake you up at night then you may want to get an emg to see how bad it really is.

Maybe you're sleeping or sitting on it without realising?

Seriously though, stuff like tingling in the arm etc is (from what I'm told by our family doctor) a sign or poor blood circulation or a deficiency in sodium (salt)... It could also be arthiritis etc. Go to the doctor, get a blood test and get them to run a test on iron etc whilst they're at it. Also get liver-function if able. Better to be safe...

I had a similar harm. The actual remedy did more effective than what the clinical medical doctors ought to do. The workouts they're providing you with are for strengthening, and typically extremely make the soreness and soreness worse. i eventually bought an inversion table, which will be got here across at places like Dick's events or Academy. Use it oftentimes to keep stress off your backbone, and the pinched nerves ought to slowly grow to be unpinched. It worked wonders for me. I nevertheless use it two times an afternoon maximum days.

Sounds like repetitive stress syndrome affecting the nerve that runs through your palm near the thumb. This is common if you repeat a motion frequently (like typing on a computer).

Try an ergo keyboard and exercise with a firm ball with your hand.

Although I am definitely not a doctor, it could be either a blood circulation problem or pinched nerve. I do believe that it would be a good idea to contact a doctor if you haven't already as a precautionary measure.

I would suggest going to an orthopedic surgeon.
It sounds like either carpal tunnel, or a trigger finger....
Either way... go get it checked out and treated.
