Ebonics???
Boo I personally believe comes from dumbass Americans mangling the French word Beau ,a word which used to be (and still is in some cultured areas) used for a boyfriend or girlfriend.

I have no idea, but that was my nickname for years. My family gave it to me when I was very small because my uncle scared me one time by getting behind me and saying "boo" I'm serious, so it stuck with me for a long time. It finally stopped but to tell you the truth I like it and miss it.......
