impeachment. The problem right now is that his party controls all the branches of government so we are powerless to get him out of office.

There is no legal way of removing the President from office
unless he has committed "High Crimes and Misdemeanors"
or is mentally or physically unfit for office.

I have argued in the past that telling the Congress in
a constitutionally mandated function (State of the Union
Address) that he KNEW that Iraq had weapons of mass
destruction was perjury - but apparently the Congress
feels that lying about having an affair is more important
than lying in a way that causes thousands of Americans
and 30 to 40 thousand Iraqis to be killed.

With a friendly Congress, you're pretty much stuck with
until the next Presidential election.

The best thing you can do is make him powerless by
getting rid of his support in Congress in this year's election.

Impeachment. For the record, a little known factoid: any state or territory of the US can bring articles of impeachment against the President. In fact, the legislature of the state of Vermont is considering bringing articles of impeachment.

Eleanor Holmes Norton, the only "representative" in DC could bring articles of impeachment against Bush, if she could be persuaded. DCers, contact Norton and make your voice heard!

As for fearing a Cheney presidency, once all the crimes committed by Bush have been uncovered in an impeachment investigation, Cheney and the rest of the neocons will be implicated and will be out the door with Bush.

Its not "firing", he has to be removed from office or "impeached" which is a lengthy process required to remove any federal official from office.
First a House committee finds that there is grounds for impeachment, then a majority vote of the House is needed to resolve that there is truely grounds for impeachment.
After the House vote, the Senate holds impeachment proceedings in the form of a trial with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court presiding. Conviction requires a 2/3 majority, and in the case of the president, upon conviction he is immediatly removed from office. Only once is he removed from office may criminal charges be brought against him

Impeachment but when you have a mostly Republican congress, it won't happen. They can impeach a man for not revealing an affair (which by the way, history shows most past Presidents had mistresses) but can't impeach a man for lying and getting us involved in a war that has costs lives and billions of dollars. Go figure. That's why to me, Republicans are all hypocrites. They claim to be Christians but are all full of &*%$.

A long process called impeachment. If the public gets serious enough, we could seriously charge our current president with war crimes and lying to the people. All the evidence is there.

President must be a Democrat to be fired. Because those people that lead the Republican Party would rather drop a bomb on the U.S. than give it up to Democrats.

Just so my words are not mistaken by some moron who thinks I am talking against conservatives, I am a conservative, and those in control of the Republican Party are NOT conservative.

He is not fired, Congress has to vote to Impeach. AND then there is a special hearing to determine the outcome. Possibly even a public vote.

I don't know how to do it. I thought it was by impeaching him. But, when Bill Clinton was impeached, he was allowed to finish his term. And just for the record, it was around that time that Clinton could have had Omsama Bin Laden captured, and didn't.

Impeached or forced to resign just like Richard Nixon.
