I feel your pain! I have no air in my house- we rely mainly on fans. During the day i keep my shades down, to permit the least amount of sun into my house. I take cold showers at least twice a day (more on the wknd), or i get out and go swimming or to the water park with the kids. Drinking tons of water will also help regulate your temperature.
If all else fails, I say go to the library and sit there until it closes, by then it should be cooling down outside where at least it can be bearable.

dress in light weight fabrics, stay in the shade, find a breezy place if possible, drink lots of cold drinks, visit a friend or family member who does have air conditioning, go to the mall during the hottest part of the day, visit the local public pool, take a cool shower, place a cool damp towel over your head......

Assuming that you mean when you're staying home: use a fan, take as many clothes off as you feel comfortable with (or I should say "without" :) ) and drink cold liquids (especially with ice in them). If you include leaving home, the possibilities are endless - go to a movie theater, shopping mall, swimming pool, ...

40 5 C, no longer 40 5 F, obviously. Drink a lot of water. discover air conditioned places to loaf round. Sleep in the day, not sleep at evening at the same time as that is cooler. Swim. positioned on fewer clothing. vacation someplace cooler.

Oh, you poor soul. I know it is dreadful. Place fans in opposite windows and it will make an air flow. Lots of luck in keeping cool.

Sit in the dark....
Turn out all lights. If you can cover the windows with dark cloth and keep it dark inside. That helps too. Open the doors and windows and get fans.

Get a bed sheet wet but not soaked. Hang it up in a doorway or something like that. Place your fan behind it and put it on high. This works well.

Build an igloo with ice cubes. Or, try and stuff yourself in a storage freezer. Better yet, do you have a cold storage room? Ha, I'm lucky I live in Canada, but I'm still not in an igloo.
