First, I'd want to be stuck ON an island, not in it! If it has to be a friend (not like a son, daughter, sibling,etc.), it would have to be my best friend's brother, David; he's in Special Forces, so I can count on his knowledge and strength to get us through it...Food...if fresh water doesn't count, then I'd go for an ever present supply of Pig(pork); could always fish or eat clams,oysters; so pork to mix it up a bit...
