Always try to tie in everything neatly and logically. There shouldn't be something that won't be explained, something that seems impossible given your frame of reference, or something that is never resolved. Try to picture a diagram of the plot in your head, that always works for me. If that doesn't work, try to imagine it as if it happened, take the characters and decide what they would do in real life based on their nature. If you want to throw in something new in the plot, try to tie it in with something before, even if it's only a vague reference. Go back and read what you've already written, and try to find something that can be expanded on, or used as a stepping stone to a new plot point.

Read more, especially history - - anything within the past two centuries is up for grabs - - I am not talking about plagiarism I am merely saying that History floods your brain with ideas. Example, the horrors of San Francisco provide a collection of characters worthy of fiction; the short Army Major Funston, the crooked 'German' Mayor redeemed by crisis, the photographer who captured he carnage for future generations. History will help you a lot if you want to go far as a writer. Good Luck.

The perfect fantasy would be to have students (high school) take their studies seriously and truly try to picture where and what they want to be and have 20 years from now. Unfortunately, at their present age they are only interested in the nonsense and the latest gossip.

sounds like ANOTHER spin off of Romeo and Juliet. But I hope this one's good. Not like some of the others I've read. Keep up the good work! :)
