I think he's gonna be. He's a mid fielder. And he was England's high goal scorer at the last world cup (Germany)

I certainly hope so, he is more passionate about the game of Football than John Terry (my Opinion) he has shown more than once what a good Leader he is, also what a good Goal scorer as well. Just look at what he has done at Liverpool, I know John Terry has done well at his club, but in my opinion Steven Gerrard has done just a bit more

I'd rather he not be. Since I am a Liverpool FC fan, I'd like to see him concentrate more on the club than his NT. And anyways I feel John Terry will make a better captain.

may be may be not. it is a tough decision. Jon Terry is also as much of a good candidate for captaincy as Gerrad. Whoever gets the captain's armband, England will be fine.

He should be. He started playing better for Liverpool once they made him captain.

Not yet, and I don't think he will be. Terry or Rio, one of them might take up the armband.
