Ice cream is used often in lieu of an oral ice-pack When a tooth is pulled or tonsils are removers, blood vessels swell, causing pain and pressure on sensitive and damaged tissues in the mouth and throat....Ice cream is cold and constrict (shrinks) the blood-vessels while numbing the sensitive and sore tissues. While it does not cure the problem, it helps you deal with the pain, and tastes great the whole time....if only more medicine was this perfect.

I'm not sure about ice-cream curing the cold, but it does help a sore throat. Unfortunately it doesn't heal you, although the cold temperature numbs the pain. It's a short term solution, but a couple of shots of whiskey does the same job!

The cold can help soothe a sore troat and reduce blood flow. I'm not sure about it curing a cold. Usually self-help things like chicken soup and aspirin with food, lots of fluids will help with a cold.

something chilly is often large for a fever. It helps carry down your temperature. yet ice cream is done of fat and undesirable energy. i like to recommend switching to chilly yogurt or popsicles or something it is not any longer extremely as heavy of a substance that you'll get your sweet fix and benefit your sore throat.
