I've raised chickens before and I know that chicks need very fine chicken feed. Remember, they're like babies too, something enormous will eventually choke with it. I usually feed them according to human meal's time, i.e. after my breakfast, lunch and dinner. Also, give them sufficient water. You can place water in a cup/unused mug(make sure it's the one the chicks can't get into, or they'll drown!) or the equipment used to feed water to the birds/hamsters.
As they grow bigger, cut down on their chicken feed, feed them with other things like excessive grains/rice/leftovers instead. Good meat like fish also can be a good meal for them...

if you hatch them from an incubator you should put them in a small box and give them a little pan of water with small rocks in the water so the chicks will think the rocks are food and peck at it and they will end up drinking water and for food buy tart n grower chick feed and sprinkle it into the box
i would wait untill the chicks are dry then put them in the box and feed and water them also put a heat lamp over them the temperature should be 100 degrees
