Maybe when he's done owning the Yankees, and we know that will never happen. Hey, 4 titles in the past 10 years may not be a lot, but how many championships have the Braves won in the 14 years of being NL East champions? One and they've been to 4 World Series. How did they do it? Trades and free-agent signings. John Schuerholz must be kicking himself in the butt for making those kind of deals

You're serious? He has. What do yo call the titles in '77 and '78 or some in the '90s. Many of the players were gained in trades or thru free agency.

It's just that he's reverted to the '80s mode where he buys willy nilly. You know the Yankees bounced back in the mid '90s during George's suspension from baseball when he wasn't allowed to interfere so much.

First of all you can and we have seen it many times in history. But you have to understand George Steinbrenner. He is a businessman. He turned a 8.7 million dollar franchise into a 1 billion dollar franchise. GS is just trying to sell tickets and make money.

To my knowledge... Mr. Steinbrenner has NEVER tried to buy a championship... the team wins them on the FIELD!!

Plus, EVERY team in MLB... pays their players... therefore... if you think about it... every team... every player... every owner... gets paid to play the game and to try and win.

So, please stop it with all this carp about the Yankees buying championships, IT'S COMPLETELY UN-TRUE!!!!

He would of learned it years ago, but then those dang Yankees won 26 world series and proved that you can buy championships.

First of all do u remember 96,98, 99, and 00? And to answer your question, he already has. Cashman runs the team now and makes the decisions. Steiny just provides the cash

They worked hard for those rings so why don't you all just shut the hell up!
I'm sick of you guys discounting all the Yankees' efforts !
Only the best go to the Yankees.
That's why they win championships !
You're all just jealous !

Hopefully never. Let him spend all that money and continue to lose! Serves him right.
