No, I'm not saying all people are racist because they don't like Africans.

I'm asking about people who are self-avowed, card carrying racists. How can they hate people of color when their ancestors are people of color too?!

No, I'm not just asking why some people are racist. I'm asking why some essentially BLACK ppl are racist against themselves. You can look white and think you're white, but if you have African/Black blood (even from a million trillion yrs ago), you're not really. Hating other Blacks (and other ppl of color) is self hatred, misguided, somewhat hypocritical and stupid.

Everyone is not descendant of Africans. Lets see your research.
I think it has little or nothing to do with Africa and Africians.Though I seriously doubt any Americian white or any other color would want to live in the Africa of today.(That's just an opinion I don't know that)
I would venture to say it is often based on what they see and experience in everyday life. For instance the percentage of the crime rate committed by blacks. Also things like the run down and filthy neighbourhoods that many blacks live in as compared to most white neighbourhoods. Furthermore many whites are often subjected to, by the mass media , for example VH1 and MTV ,to black popular culture, such as rap, that often glorifies greed, hate and violence towards others and that often refer to their women as "hoes" and "bitches". The perceived disproportional percent of blacks that live and raise their kids to live on welfare gives many whites a negative view of the black race. The fact that the media often portrays blacks as victims unable or unwilling to take responsibility for their plight and chose to blame it on society, doesn't help. If true I believe our welfare system may be largely to blame for that. The dumbing down of our school system since the advent of desegregation to the point that students are now "graduating" with out learning much in the way of basic reading, writing and other skills doesn't sit very well with some.
You can agree or disagree with these people as you see fit. But these are some of the reasons why many whites feel the way they do.
The negative aspects of the black race is just much more apparent to these people than those of those who are just trying to get along with their lives, earn a living and raise their families.
I hope this gives you some insight and maybe answer your question as to why SOME whites feel the way they do.
P.S.
I list only a few of my sources since any discussion of this type almost always gives way to outbursts of emotionalism and vituperation than to rational answers. That being said there is little point in listing sources of research since it is in any case doubtful that they will be perused. Further more I don't think most of what you call "Racist" believe what they do because of research but rather because of their experences and observations of what is going on around them in their own neighborhoods as they become more intergrated.

I don't think all people are racist because the don't like Africans. Some people do purely just hate others and their ignorant, but as for the black American race I think that most people who are treated meanly (or say they are) aren't decent in the first place. Some people say I'm racist but I don't really think I am. I hate all people who are out right disrespectful to me when I have don't nothing to warrant such abhorrence. Most of the people I see on a day to day basis are rude and inconsiderate of everyone including their friends and it's no wonder why no one like them. Those are the people who bring the black race down. I have many friends who are black and I have no problem with them because their human and don't act like animals always demanding that everything be given to them with no effort on their part.

Well, the short answer is because racists are ignorant fools who should spend more time understanding other people and cultures instead of hating them.

The longer answer is, racism is a fairly new (since the colonial era) concept. At one time race was not an issue, at least not on the grand scale it is now. It was only when the European powers decided to claim Africa, Asia and the Americas for their new empires that racism was born. It's easier to believe you have the right to kill, steal, lie and cheat someone (or some people) if you believe they are inferior to you. You label them as savage, Godless, uneducated, primitive and inferior and there ya go!, racism is born along side the manifest destiny. Sucks, huh?

Let me ask you this: If both Protestants and Catholics are Christians, why do they beat the crap out of each other in Northern Ireland? What unifies us is not strong enough to keep us in harmony compared to the power of that which sets us apart. People freak when you're different, and that can mean something as simple as having a southern accent in Minnesota - never mind "being originally all from Africa", some million trillion years ago...

First, I don't necessarily think the assumption that all are descended from Africans is correct. Although I myself can trace some of my ancestry back to Africa, the "cradle of civilization" was at one point thought to have been in Mesopotamia (what is now Iraq) & not in Africa. Maybe everyone is descended from Africans & maybe they aren't.
That being said, I think being racist is a terrible waste of brainpower. Differences are what makes life interesting & we can all appreciate some of the different cultures contributions to music, food, fashion, etc. (even if we don't appreciate some of the other contributions).

enable's settle for it. There are specialist hairstyles and there are kinds that are not. the position I stay, a everyday specialist type for a black lady is permed and pulled lower back, or permed and shoulder chin or shoulder length. short and organic sounds specialist. also an decision is amazingly tidy locks. there ought to correctly be a cultural disconnect which makes the agency closed to hairstyles which aren't any further shared with suggestions from white women persons- that ought to correctly be company perfect. that is racist, yet probable no longer illegally so. there are a determination of white workers who does no longer be allowed to have lengthy hair operating example. there's a gown code for all jobs and hair type is going alongside with it.

The skull that was found in Africa was not of a black person, it was of a extinct human. The oldest bones found of a race still existing was found on the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Bantu people are black but the inhabitants of the area where that african skull was found are not bantu, but are semitic people.
