I doubt a vet can do anything, talking to petsmart, or petco employees won't help your cause, they are cluesless. First, we need to find what kind of disease it has, if it is an internal bleeding, or if it is actually bleeding externally. If it is externally than you need to get some anit-fungus medicine, so the wound won't get infected, like melafix, or pimafix. Internally, than that is a little harder to deal with, for there is no way to get medicine to it. Possibly another fish bit him, if there is no other fish. Take a look at the fish to see signs of distress, like rapid breathing, not moving, cloudy eyes, and what you noted not eating.

How old is this fish? Do you really want to spend $10, $15, $20 on a fish that you pd less than a dollar for? If it dies, flush it, drain water, bleach everything and rinse well, refill tank (add chems) and go spend the $1 or 2 and buy an new one.

It is a harsh reality, but fish don't live that long.

I have no idea how you know the fish is bleeding in the stomach, unless it is vomiting blood, which is something I've never seen. I highly recommend, before you buy another fish of any type, to do your research like a responsible pet owner should. There are tons of web sites to guide you. Obviously you don't have a proper set-up for fish. If you can't afford it, wait until you can. Even fish can be abused by improper care. Try this link for starters for your new fish:

Click on the link that says IDEAL COMMUNITY TANK under TROPICAL FRESWATER FISH INFORMATION. Good luck with your next fish.

I think that you should call around to vets and just ask them if anyone in the offes knows anything about fish. if they don't you can search online and look for something about fish bleeding. there might just be a website that has something related to it. you might be able to figure out what it is or what caused it.

I suggest you to go to a pet store you trust with an accurate description of what's happening and get a special medcine for fish. I think that's the best and about the only thing you can do...
good luck!

Ask different vet they will offer you advise. Also your best bet would be to ask your local fish store or petshop. They can tell you the best answers. I hope your fish get well soon!

I would call around to different vet offices and see if they treat fish. I'm sure there is at least one that can help you.

you might wanna try a fish store, they have antibiotics you can add to the water. i almost had to do that for my blue jaw trigger but it cleared up on its own. also frequent water changes can sometimes help too, i mean changes every few days.
