Anyone who "has" one (which is arguable since the outsiders often delineate or share in the construction of a character) is one in virtue of idiosyncracy. Which translates directly into abnormality and insanity. Be it linguistic deviation, neuroses, egomania, and so on... a character is a composite of the Asylum.
