Europeans are making progross and beating us in sports and education, economy, etc and most people couldnt be more ignorant, we just sit there with our eyes covered saying "I cant hear you I cant hear you " Not to mention that our jobs go to Indians and Chinese and the trade deficit. I think the the gap between the rich and poor isnt increasing do to policies but do to the American public getting stupid fat and lazy.

Nope, I don't think so at all.

I'm not an american myself but I find your evaluation of the population constituents of the USA to be erroneous.

Ask yourself this: How can the country with the largest, mustdynamic economy in the world be full of losers? How can a country with only 4.6% of the world population be the actual economic and industrial driving force of a planet with over 6 billion individuals living on it?

In my mind it is certainly not a country full of dummies. Sure there must be a few of those around, but they are also found in every other country in the world (in some areas more than in others I think). Nah, you have a hugely dynamic, innovative and result-oriented work force (read population), who because it is currently the most powerful in the world, is the focus of every other population for jokes and other embittered negative comparisons. Whether a team sucks in a particular sport is not something to be used as an overall yardstick.

However, there have been other great empires and nations in the past which have fallen since. The US, just like any other entity has to be careful to keep abreasts of changes and maintain and adapt it's vitality to the overall trends of humanity. Therein lies the dangers which you briefly highlighted by mentionning such things as the economic distribution between poorer and richer classes and the lack of workforce re-orientation following work transfer to lower-cost countries.

I semi-agree. The USA is VERY ignorant. We aren't making the same progress and we have too much pride on being the best that we've lost what made us so great. We're just money hungry, lazy, do the least amount of work for the most gain, greedy, arrogant, in it for themselves, ignorant jerks. I can't speak for everyone, but as a whole, definitly. We do suck :-(

But theres still hope. There are some people who realize the problems and are trying to change thigns and make the public less ignorant. So at least someone's trying and not everyone's that american jerk I depicted.

Um, are you proffering yourself as Exhibit A of the U.S.'s apparent decline in education?

Europe was too busy blowing itself up 60 years ago to be making any progress. With their declining birthrates and pension systems about to go bankrupt, the EU's success is largely illusory and will fall apart in 30 or so years.

China and India, on the other hand, are a completely different story. But back in the 1980s everyone thought Japan was going to eat the U.S.'s lunch, and that didn't happen. U.S. just keeps finding a way to pull through!

Angry are we? Where would you rather live? No we are not perfect. Vote, change things. We have political process that allows you to participate in lawmaking. Volunteer...try to help. Bashing doesn't make things better. Have a little faith in your fellow man. And cheer up will ya'? Things are not that bad....you got that glass half empty kind of thing going on. Peace.

The USA isn't full of losers....just those who are in positions who are making major decisions (in any capacity) which isn't worth a thing, which causes havoc, and dismay for others.

Maybe we spend too much time sticking our nose into other countries' business and should focus on our own problems for a while?

america has good in it, but it must find this good, to search thru the corruption and greed, to its essense, what this country was built on.
