There are a few tehniques to apply makeup that depends on skin type and what you are trying to acheive. I would say if you don't have uneven skin tones skip foundation and opt for a concealer for blemishes and dark circles. You may want a sleek dewy look or a bit more matte...less is more unless you are going on stage, then I would say go BOLD and dramatic!
Right now, a sunkissed look is most appealing. To achieve that I would recommend Clarins, Neutragena or (something made for your face) lotion that has 'the gradual' tint in it.
For me in these hot months I stay away from most makeup, but especially the powdered forms of makeup and foundation, because it makes for clogged pores and that feeling of melting. You can also choose to put on (stick, gloss, cream - sometimes I use a lipstick) blush or bronzer, (stick or cream) eyeshadow, mascara, eyeliner and a glossy lip color or go bare and skip the eyeshadow and eyeliner, I'd say that lip gloss and mascara alone give that finished look so keep those, if all you can handle are those two you're good!
1.) FOUNDATION-
The first step in makeup application is foundation, this is a good name for it too, it gives you the smooth palate to add your colors and contours. When putting on foundation I'd use a makeup sponge and dampen it and dot the makeup on your forehead, chin and both cheeks and blend with upward strokes.
2.) CONCEALER-
There are a few types of concealer, those who have dark circles use yellow concealer, those who have redness use green but these two are used under foundation. Otherwise the concealer being a slight shade lighter than the foundation good for extra coverage!
3.)TRANSLUCENT POWDER-
This helps keep the blush, bronzer or shadows where they are supposed to be!
4.) BLUSH OR BRONZER-
Blush has more rules than bronzer, you basically put bronzer where ever you tan naturally so it can go all over but concentrate on nose, cheek bones, use sparingly on chin and forehead. With blush the rule is where you naturally blush....cheeks (two finger widths away from your nose is where you start and sweep up on your cheekbone.
5.) EYE MAKEUP-
1. Shadow- pick colors that make your eyes pop, some people want to match with what they are wearing, unless your a teen, avoid this, instead concentrate on your eyes.
2. Eyeliner- complement the eye shadow if you must but,
3. Mascara- should always be black unless your a natural blonde with blonde eyebrows then you would use brown
4. Concealer- under the eye once more to make sure the eye makeup doesn't look like dark circles; just smokey and fierce! Haha!
6.) TRANSLUCENT POWDER-
Use this again to set your makeup.
7.) LIP MAKEUP-
These are easy to mix and match and some are optional.
1a. Make sure lips aren't flakey, peeling or chapped...this looks horrible with lipstick, if you don't have time to fix lips just go with gloss. If you have Satin Lips by Mary Kay or something to soften your lips and wipe it off. Then put on what you need for your lips!
1b. If you want to wear a lighter shade (especially for darker pigmented lips) or make sure your lipstick won't come off sometimes it's good to dab a lil concealer on lips before lipstick (not to use if you are using gloss or lip liner only)
1c. Lipstick (don't compete with eyes if you went bold with the eyes go neutral with the lips and vise versa)
1d. Lipstick on before lip liners or gloss, best applied with lip brush but not completely convenient as swiping the tube of lip stick on.
1e. For a matte look dust translucent powder over lips and for a glossy dewy finish dab a dot of gloss and smooth over lips.
2. Lip Liner (if you use this first it gives the harsh lines - only times you use this first is if you are getting the color from the liner and adding gloss) then don't outline the lips, but lining the creases that go vertical and add gloss and smooth with your finger never press lips together.
3. Lip gloss can go on alone (great for during the day) or over any lipstick or lip liner or both. You could go clear or shimmery color. Lip gloss gives the appearance of fuller lips!
[advice and tips]
- Before putting on any makeup make sure you have thoroughly cleansed your neck and face and use a toner you want your pores closed before putting on makeup.
- Use cold water after washing face it also helps close pores.
- Use a moisterizer (for your skin type) before putting on makeup. Good to use an SPF 15 all year round too!
- If you pluck eye brows, bleach hair/face, wax or other treatments I suggest doing this a day before or at least a few hours before makeup application and rewash, tone and moisterize your face.
NOTE: A real nice defined arch on a brow can act like eye makeup and make your eyes stand out without the makeup!

First apply concealer where needed and then put foundation over the top. Powder is next and then blush or bronzer just on your cheek bones. Make sure you blend your foundation well first of all and don't just stop at the bottom of your face because you'll get a line, blend it down your neck and brush powder on your neck for extra blending. Also make sure you get the right colour foundation and powder for your skin tone. Test it on the back of your hand in the shop before you buy it and if in doubt ask the shop assistant for advice. Next put on eyeliner, then eyeshadow and then mascara. Then eyebrow pencil if you wish. Last of all do your lips. Liner and then lipstick or lipgloss. Hope this helps!

I'm only guessing you're a beginner, so I apologize if this is too detailed for you.
Step 1: After doing your hair, washing your face - all of that, start out with a moisturizer such as Dove Deep Moisturizer. It has an SPF so on warm days like these, it'll protect your face from a nasty sunburn.
Step 2: Take a concealer - make sure it's one shade lighter than you're skin - and dot it all around the flawed places on your face. Try Maybelline Cover Stick.
Step 3: Get a foundation such as Revlon Colorstay Light Make-Up. Use a make-up sponge or a cotton ball to apply it all around your face, making sure to blend in at your jawline so you don't get a foundation line.
Step 4: Now for bronzer/blush. I find that bronzer looks a lot more natural than using blush, but if you have deep skin, you can't really use a bronzer. For bronzer, try Maybelline Expert Wear Bronzer, and for blush, Maybelline Expert wear Blush. Brush it across the tip of your nose, your cheeks, and a little on your chin for a natural glow.
Step 5: Time for eyeshadow. You'll need 3 colors for this one. I reccomend Covergirl Eye Enhancers 3 kit shadow. On your entire eyelid, brush on the medium color eyeshadow. On your crease, or the little line between your browbone and your lid, apply a little of the darkest color eyeshadow. And last, in the inner corner of your eye and on your browbone, put on the lightest color eyeshadow.
Step 6: Line your eyes with NYC Classic Brow and Liner Pencil. Just make quick, brushing strokes on your waterline, also known as the little wet space between your eye and your lower lashes.
Step 7: Curl your lashes and apply a little mascara such as Clinique High Impact Mascara.
Step 8: Last, top your lips off with a gloss or lipstick. L'oreal makes really nice lip stuff, so check them out.

1). Get a foundation that is ur skin tone, either liquid or powder, either one is good
2) Then, find a good eye shadow, experiment to find which one looks better on you.
3) Get an eye liner that wont rub off during the day.
4) put on mascara that wont smear when u blink.
5) Get a pinkish colored blush, and make sure its on ur cheek bones instead of all over your face.
6) any kind of lip gloss.

Foundation should be applied at least one inch thick, then powder until no more is possible. Eyelashes should be false and applied to top and bottom lashes and covered with thick mascara. If no false eyelashes, just tons of mascara. Eyeliner should be applied like a Panda. Then lots of Bright Eyeshadow. Blusher like Pikachu. Lips painted with Lipstick and dripping with Lipgloss.

wash ur face. wipe ur skin dry and apply toner and mositurizer that contain at least SPF 15 (protect against harmful UV rays). leave ur skin for 10 minutes. after that apply foundation, starting from underneath ur eyes to bridge if ur nose, forehead, cheek and so forth. Next concentrate on ur eyes, starting with eyeshadows if not skip the step and move on in using curlers on ur eyelashes and apply mascara on it. Next will be ur cheeks. apply blusher on ur cheekbones. Lastly apply lip balm on ur lips if it is dry. leave it for 5 minutes and coat lip gloss or lipstick if u want. if u r using lipstick u can outline ur lip with a lip liner after apllying the lipstick.......happy trying

if you want to use foundation or cover-up you use that. then you use eyeliner; waterproof works the best; eyeshadow, lipgloss&blush if you want. theres no real order which you have to go in. the only thing is you should probably do the cover up or foundation first. & don't use alot of makeup; just as much as you need.

OIL FREE LOTION,
CONCEALER(SOMETIMES YOU DONT EVEN NEED THIS. YOU CAN JUST DAB REGULAR MAKEUP ON A BLEMISH OR SCAR AND IT WORKS JUST AS WELL),
BASE(SOMETHING FOR YOUR SKIN TYPE AND WHAT YOUR NEEDS ARE AS FAR AS WEAR),
POWDER(SHINE FREE LONG LASTING),
EYE AND LIP LINER(DOESNT REALLY MATTER BUT LIP LINER SHOULD BE BLENDED IN AND BE ONE SHADE DARKER THAN LIP STICK THEN FILLED IN WITH A LIGHTER SHADE. AND EYE LINER SHOULD BE LIGHTLY BLENDED.),
BLUSH(PINCH YOUR CHEEKS LIGHTLY. THATS THE COLOR YOU SHOULD USE),
EYE SHADDOW(BLEND BLEND BLEND),
MASCARA(YOUR PREFERENCE BUT THERE IS A NEW WORLD OF MASCARA OUT THERE I FEEL LIKE A KID IN A CANDY STORE!),
TOUCH UP LINER,
TOUCH UP POWDER(JUST LIGHTLY WITH THE POWDER PUFF DO NOT RE DIP THE PUFF JUST USE IT TO SMOOTH OUT YOUR FACE),
LIP STICK(LIGHTLY AND BLEND),
LIP GLOSS(THIS IS FOR THE BANG!!!)

Use only what you need. If you use coverup, apply that first, then eyeshadow, mascara, and lip gloss.
