Having taught school for 35 years I have had very little faith in IQ scores. While the "103" would place you as "normal/average" by a testing service I would ask you to remember an old saying:

"There is IQ and 'I Will."

IQ by itself is worthless.....Use your skills to the best of your advantage. Show motivation in your work ethic. Have compassion and respect for others and you will be sucessful and respected.

(footnote: If you most put faith in a "number" take a number of tests and do an "average" of the scores.)

The Stanford Binet Fourth Edition (Binet FE) has a standard deviation of 16 and the Wechsler scales (such as the WPPSI-R, the WISC-III, and the WAIS-III) have a standard deviation of 15. Therefore, for different scales the percentages may vary.

Grade Range Percent
Genius >144 0.13%
Gifted 130-144 2.14%
Above average 115-129 13.59%
Higher average 100-114 34.13%
Lower average 85-99 34.13%
Below average 70-84 13.59%
Borderline low 55-69 2.14%
Low <55 0.13%

Gee, I thought I did badly at 129, when I took the test at 1:30AM. I think you can consider that you are still in the zone of intelligence. IQ tests seem to be set up with question both concrete and abstract. Not all intelligent people think with both sides of the brain at the same time or can switch easily back and forth. All things have to be taken into consideration.

First off, it depends where you took the test. Tickle isn't a good one, sorry. Try the High IQ Society and see where you land.

Then come back.

It depends on how much the maximum score is. If you know the maximum score all you do is 103 over the maximum score and that tell you the percentage of you score
