Do you think the Dr Phil show helps people (not only the ones who go on the show) does it raise awareness and is it good for humaity? Or is is just another themed TV show with no real purpose?

Well, I think all shows of that genre help at least a few people that tune in. Occasionally you hear about people who's lives are changed by suchandsuch episode of suchandsuch show. Ya know? But, for the most part, I think they're just for entertainment value.

Basic goal of all shows: Ratings Ratings Ratings. Money Money Money.

I think Dr Phil has higher ratings on TV than he did in real life, cuz a lot of his advice seems mean-spirited! He may as well just put his wife up on the stage beside him, because he just doesn't seem to be able to function without interjecting her into everything! The two of them kind of remind me of the David & Goliath cartoon!

well, sometimes the topics and his advice are both really amazing, but then other times it's like a stupid topic and he didn't really help the people. and sometimes there's just way to much drama. but i always watch it cuz i love dr. phil and i want to be a psychologist someday.

to be honest: no. he got on oprah one day and then got his own tv show. all he does is tell people to get real and stuff. he helps people and stuff, i know, but it's kinda a waste of a tv show.

He thinks he has the answers to everything. Very arrogant in my opinion.
