Sounds like your boss and your client are playing you. Happens all the time in the "good-ol-boy" network and they probably have a pool on when you'll give in. Flip a coin to decide which of them you will kick in the nuts. If you're disappointed with the outcome, kick the other one.

Well tell your boss that he would just have to hold you personally responsible, because you shouldn't have to prostitute yourself out like that just to land any account. If you can't land the account on your own, without using sex, then you really aren't much of a business person. Convince the client with all the logical reasoning and other abilities you have to persuade him. But no sex ploys. Your boss could fire you on the spot after you landed the account when he learns of your unethical behaviour.

Well, don't do it simply to get an account. Of course there are plenty of physical "office romance" relationships...and I'm sure it's possible to be completely tactful and professional about it, by...
- not having sexual relations just to further careers
- keeping it separate from business matters
But you'll both get hurt if you do this to help your business. If you do have an attraction towards your client, you can always get the account by being very professional in doing your actual job, being ethical, competent as part of your company.
After you get the account, why not ask if he'd like to go to lunch with you. Then, you can break down the corporate barriers...ask if he'd mind going out sometime, on an actual date. If he is interested in you romantically, then the physical aspects could still happen.
And, at least you'll know that you didn't get the account by using sex. Instead you got it with your business mind, intelligence and integrity.
I think the fact that you're taking time to ask about it on here shows that you're already doubtful to some degree of having sex to get the account.

Gawd..please don't do anything so stupid! Whether or not you are attracted to him, that's no reason to put yourself in that situation. Even if your boss says you are personally responsible for landing this account, that does not mean sex. Besides, you have no guarantee that you will land it even if you do sleep with him. That and you boss may even fire you for sexual misconduct if the client should hint at all you slept with him. Do you really want to sacrifice your reputation, your job, your integrity? You are risking everything for even thinking of doing something so stupid. Is it worth it? How much can you stand to lose?
If your boss is suggesting you sleep with him, you need to report him to human resources for sexual harassment.

Your more than likely going to regret it and how do you know you will get the account after you have slept with this guy. If you are going to make him sign a contract or something first, though that kind of sounds like you are kinda prostituting yourself. Just make sure you can live with the decision you make.

So how will you feel if you have sex with him and still don't get the account?
It wouldn't hurt to flirt a little, or even hint, but get the account first, then if you want to have sex with him, go for it.

Inform your boss in writing of the situation. Forward a copy to your lawyer. If your boss fires you then take him to court.

If you go ahead with it, then go directly to the nearest police station and turn yourself in for prostitution. Or change your job title to "Call Girl."
If you cannot do your job by using legitimate work-related skill, you don't belong in the position. And that includes missionary.

You should head back to college and take that ethics course you obviously missed out on the first time around.
