think about it. if a human body is travelling at light speed and punches at light speed, i'd imagine that body would be disintegrated. there's also a chance that a flying pebble (due to whatever reason) would hit flash while running at insane speeds. wouldn't that be embedded in flash's flesh? apparently, none of these happened to the flash. i therefore conclude that he is invulnerable. any other comments? flash fanatics welcome (^_^)

Hey man. Funny I thinking about the same thing earlier and I was about to ask the question.

I do think that Flash should be invulnerable from what is shown in the comics. He is not, of course, but if you think about it, to be able to travel that fast and having winds going towards you at light speeds, that would just rip you appart or imediatly set you on fire.

However, none of those things happen to Flash, which would lead me to think that his skin is so tough, he can sustain anything. Take The Silver Surfer for example, from Marvel, he can travel really fast too and in hyperspace as well, but his body allows him that since his is made of on undestructable material. The same for the characters from DBZ, they can travel super fast as well and the are really strong, which would be logical, or else they would die.

So since the Flash does not wear a special siute, obviously, to protect him, that leads me that think that his body should be more tought that Superman's itself. I don't know why the Flash is so under rated, in my world, he could take Superman down anyday now due to his super speed, and also that he think like a million times faster then anyone else, one of the reasons why Professor X or Jean Grey cannot control his mind.

The Verdict: The Flash is not invulnerable in the comics, which to me is a huge error and he should be one of the best and most invulnerable fighters there is.

The flash is not invulnerable, based upon the simple fact that there is one dead flash and one flash who was beaten up so bad he is in the hiding in some other time right now. Barry Allen, the post WWII Flash died some years back during Crisis on Infinite Earths while saving the world. The Flash rarely moves at the speed of light, but can, and when he does so, he taps into something called the "speed force" which allows him to move at superhuman speeds. He is able to dodge things like pebbles flying through the air because they seem frozen in time to him, or he can simply bat them out of the way. The speed force also partially protects him from damage he would receive. However, the flash can easily be killed. Though he can take some damage, he is extremely vulnerable to psychic attacks and some forms of magic. If you can slow the flash down, you can give him a severe enough beating to kill him. Also, he cannot breathe in space and could not gain traction to move. No, sorry my friend, the flash is quite vunerable.

His powers let him tap into the speed force, witch not only lets him travel at near light speed, but also gives basically a frictionless coating. This basically force field is what keep him from completely burning up like astronauts when he is running around the atmosphere. Therefore if he was runnign at you and yo throw a rock at him, it wont set off a nuclear explosion, it will just give him a black eye.

However, he can use his powers to function secondary powers. When he travels at near light speed, time condenses and his mass shifts and increases. If he lets it, he can hit Superman as hard as he can and put him into orbit in 3 seconds. Its Science. As his speen approaches infinite, his mass approaches infinite as well. Even been hit by infinity? Hurts like the dickens.

Flash has a superspeed aura that protects him from objects coming in contact with him, During Zero Hour there was an alternate timeline story where he had a child born without the aura who was vulnerable to friction and such injuries

He is very vunerable, he isnt able to run and move at his top speed forever, his body would disintigrate, or he would have to stop and rest, then anyone could kill him, also punching at those speeds will destroy his bones if he does that too much at the same time, have you seen the old gatorade comercials, with the althletes breakin down, it would be just like that.

I am thinking that Flash is indeed vulnerable, based solely on an episode of Justice League where he and Green Lantern battle the monkey-monster. He is injured, and his super power is speed, so if you could stop him, as in knock him unconscious, then you could kill him. Whadda ya think?

Flash is vunerable. He's been hurt a lot, he's died in the comics too. By the way there has been three plus Flashes now.
