Never let him know just what he will find when he gets home from that busy day. The kids at grandmas, and you with nothing on but a sheet when he walks in the door works. $20 for lunch, and a ticket to his favorite sporting event in his lunch bag works too. Anything that keeps him off balance, and thinking of you is fun and works well. My missus does one thing that I love. In the morning, since she doesn't have to get up as early as I do,she will let me get dressed and ready for work, and then wait for me to come in and kiss her good-by. If I think she's still asleep, I'll try to be quiet and just lightly peck her on the cheek. But a lot of times she has really awoken, and when I come in for the kiss she pulls me down next to her and insists on cuddling for a few minutes before she'll let me up for work. Good thing I don't wear a suit to work!

It's nice that you want to continue surprising your husband with "I love you". However, why do you want to "continue surprising" him? You mentioned 3 kids. Do you think he has lost interest in the relationship? Do you fear that he is cheating on you and by surprising him, you are actually reminding him of his commitment?

If you continue "surprising" him then it will become predictable and therefore no longer a surprise. He may soon feel it to be an annoyance too. So be careful of that.

I'm sure you probably done the lingerie thing, the special dinners, and short trips.

1. How about just going out for a stroll in the evening?
2. Touch is always important, even a subtle touch. When you were dating him, I'm sure you put your hand on his back, on his shoulder or arm while talking to him.
3. Do the things that you used to do when you dated him. Make him reminisce those days. In other words, do things WITHOUT the kids. You didn't mention how old the kids were. If they are of age, leave them at home, or get a babysitter. Send them to your parents.

Just spending time together WITHOUT THE KIDS says, "I love you"
