Terrorism cannot be conventionally defeated. It's a tactic, not an enemy.

The war on terror is a farce. The people that are using that phrase are trying to make themselves look like they are doing something, when all they are doing is killing more people to stop others from killing people. Who is the terrorist? Bush has stated on multiple occassion that Binladen is of no concern any more. Saddam was not involved in the 9/11 attacks, North Korea was a far bigger threat before the Iraq war and now is a major threat.

Can the war on terror be one. NO. It is like saying will everyone have the same opinion about the color blue. I like red better and someone else will like green. At the root, as a global community we need to, as they say what a mile in another persons shoes. I think that people should try to think in terms like this. I you were born in Japan or India or Iraq or Russia or Brazil, etc, you would have a completely different perspective of the world and more importantly western culture.

Religion is generally the root of most major desputes globally. the reality of religion is that all religions are like rivers. they all lead to God.

Hard to say. The terrorists are mocu more disorgaized, and they've lost some key figures, but they're getting a lot more new members as hatred towards the US grows.

The US has had some victories over terrorists, but the US army is extremely overstretched, the treasury extremely overspent, and hatred and fear are growing in the US as a result of the actions of the curent administration.

Really, in the future, everything we've done in the war on terror could finally get the best of us and send the US into a state of chaos. We have $9 trillion in debt we'll eventually have to pay, the entire world hates us, and our recruit levels ar at an all-time low. Very easily, everything we've exausted in pursuit of counterterrorism could cost us our economy and our security at home. We may have another depression which causes the US t break into chaos. In which case, the terrorists have accomplished their goal- and we lost.

This is not a football game people the stake of the free world is up for grabs.

Oh and to those who say there have not been any attacks on American soil since 9/11 need to get their facts straight, I seem to remember a lot of terror surrounding a thing called Anthrax not long after 9/11, and like the perpetrators of 9/11 those responsible have yet to be brought to justice.

If you still want to believe all terrorist are Muslim, you must have forgotten Oklahoma City.

You DO NOT win a war by body counts. Or your arm numbers. YOU WIN a war by looking at the condition of the places/people you waged the war. Now, if I look places were we fought terrorism, such as Afghanistan, the Philipines, Iraq, Somalia, Malaysia, Indonesia, and so on, terrorism is still a threat and in MOST CASES, what we call terrorists actually are favorite and popular and supported in these countries, such as Somalia.
What we call terrorists, today provide care, and a better institutions for their people and that WINS them hearts, while we invade and bomb people. So you know who is winning. Why do you think as WE SPEAK Jihadists are fighting and winning ground ALL OVER Somalia, Afghanistan, Iraq and Lebanon.. the list goes on and on

Well there haven't been any more attacks on US soil. 98% of Al Queda's leadership has been caught or killed. Saddam is removed. Uday & Qsay are pushing up daisies. Al Zarqiri is bombed. Libya has opened weapon arsenals to inspectors. The Taliban is out of power. Hezbollah and Hamas are whinning for a cease fire because they are having the crap kicked out of them. Terror plots around the world have been twarted because of finaical tracking.

I would say the good guys and allies are winning.

Honestly - probably Iran. They've managed to use their Hezbollah minions to drag Israel into a war that will only harden Middle East sentiment against the Jewish state.

And, they've seen their arch nemesis Iraq turn from a Sunni controlled state into a state controlled by Iran-friendly Shiites (Thanks, Bush! What a great plan that was!).

Not to mention they seem to be closing in on the nuclear weapons their leader has already indicated he will use against Israel, and the US seems able to do little to stop them....
