You want to talk Bible? After their willful breaking of his word, God told them that he would scatter them to the corners of the earth. That he would remove them from their land.
Try reading the New Testament, the Israelites were God's chosen people in that they carried the bloodline into which his son, Jesus, would be born, he blessed them with that event. How much more blessed could a people be than to have God bring his son into the world thru their line? Once his son was born into the world, it began the reign of God's New chosen people, those who followed his son, regardless of their nationality. Those who were baptised into his name.
I don't hate Jews, I don't hate anyone, but I don't believe that God takes any sides. There is war in the mideast, because the Jews broke God's commandments and he followed thru on what he promised them.
Jesus gave his apostles the instructions to not denounce the Jews, but to try and bring the lost people into the new flock, the new faith.
So, yes, they were his chosen people, he gave them their promised land and nurtured them to bring forth his son's bloodline. It wasn't God that hardened hearts, it was themselves that did that...against God. They are no longer his chosen people, the followers of his Son are his new 'nation'.

Chosen People refers to a group of people who have been chosen by God to act as God's agent on earth.
In the Jewish Torah, and by extension in the Christian Bible, the phrase "Chosen People" refers to the ancient Hebrews/Israelites. As mentioned in the book of Exodus, the Hebrew people are God's chosen people and from them shall come the Messiah, or redeemer of the human race. The Israelites also possess the "Word of God" and/or Law of God" in the form of the "Torah" as communicated by God to Moses.
Adherrents to Islam make, by the same extension as Christians, the same claim of chosenness by recognizing the validity of the Law of God as told by Moses; as do other religions that build on those same laws.
Choseness does not denote an inherent superiority over others, only a self-imposed higher standard to fulfill God's expectation.
In other words the "Chosen People" are to act at a higher standard and seek to fulfill and spread God's word, not that they are inherently special. I feel we all are God's chosen so long as we try to do well, be kind, and ask for forgiveness.

The Jews and the people that descended from them like the British, Americans, Filipinos and other related nationalities are the chosen ones.

I thought God someone said God loves everyone. Why would he chose just the people who live in Israel or born to a Jewish mother? Don't you people see how stupid and ridiculous all of this religion stuff is? Just give it up. No God, no problem.

I am on the side of Innocent People.
God hasn't moved me to hate Jews, the Jews have simply shown me that they believe in killing innocent people, which I disagree with. This killing of innocent people and their distruction of Lebanon proves that Jews are no better than the Terrorists who hit America on 911.
The good people of Lebanon and all the foreigners vacationing there got no warning of Israel's invasion either, as was the case on 911.
