Depending on what brand it is, it's normally a little device about the size of a Zippo lighter that you clip on your air vent & have a speaker & microphone that you use to talk. The little clip device has buttons for answering & ending calls. There are also buttons on it for volume to the speaker.

Well I asked my dentist and he said it was a device you plug in your car lighter and hook your cell phone up to so you can talk in the car without using your hands or taking them off the steering wheel
