i'm not going to lie to you - high school sucks. a lot. If you chose to get good grades, be prepared to work A LOT harder then you did in middle school to get As. I got straight A+s all through 7th adn 8th grade, and in high school all of a sudden we had an 8-point scale ( a 90% is a B and an 85% is a C) and my average grade went down to a B+. Not horrible, but I really need to work a ton harder if I want to get into a good college. Freshmen grades hardly matter in college admissions, but you better get As and Bs sophomore and junior year becuase colleges are get more and more competive and difficult to get into.
As far as the people go, everyone is snobby and *fake*. Everyone acts like they think they should and not like they want to. People are shallow and obsessed with being protected by the same group of friends. No one wants to branch out or try new things because that's not *safe*.

What's my advice?
1.) Don't fall into the pattern of thinkign you have to be a certain way. Dress in the way that makes you feel pretty, act in the way that makes you feel confident. It sounds stupid, but true friends still to that.
2.) Call bullsh*t. If it looks like bullsh*t, don't step in it. Even if your friend is the one being sh*tty, then you have to recognize it and call them on it. Don't get dragged away.
3.) Avoid b*tching about people, especially people you don't know. It gets old.
4.) Find a community outside of school that you can really belong to. For me it's my acting company. I'm lucky becuase that's 60 people in my life and school I can turn to. You have to have a place like that. If you dont want to do sports then don't!
5.) About that whole getting thrown into lockers etc. Just don't act greater then you are. It's ridiculous but you have to play along. For example, be polite to seniors even if their rude. It's your place. If you're tall and/or attractive, you'll have less trouble.
6.) Get good grades. I know its' easier said then done, and it looks like you're already motivated, but you will love youself later. Find goodness in your classes!
7.) STUDY ABROAD.

i have to go. but good luck! and try try try to have fun!

Be yourself. You will find people who have the same interests as you. If you don't go out for sports, try chess or run for student council. Find your niche. Relax. Know your guidance councellor. If you have problems along the way, bring it to his/her attention.

Study hard and get good grades. You'll be thankful when it comes to choosing a college. And, most importantly, don't do drugs and alcohol. You'll be thankful for that later, too.

Enter High School confident in the fact that you will make the best of it and have a good time. You'll meet new friends and learn about new things. The high school years are both exciting and challenging. Make the best of your youth!

Good Luck!

Sports are overrated; do what you want, these are the best years of your life as they say. You can pick many of your classes and learn all kinds of cool things in different ways. Get good grades though, if you're planning on college :)

Everyone is older than you. Then everyone is younger than you. Don't care about what everyone thinks because it really doesn't matter. I recommend doing drugs now while it doesn't matter.

lololol. Jk. Get good grades.
