Not counting that we have paid a disportionate share of its expenses since its inception--besides that. Consider just raw balance of UN existing and UN not existing. On that bifrurcation, what advantage has the USA gained from the UN being in existance. (Please do not drift off subject!)

Lees, good question. I hope my explanation makes a little sense. The US has benefitted greatly from the UN. We have first hand knowledge of those countries who would be the greatest dismantlers of our democracy. We have a say in which laws the UN supports. If we were not at the table, we would not have the nfluence we have over those would-be do-gooders. A good example is the potential disarmament of the world. If the UN had their way, all nations would give up their right to guns and private gun ownership. It has long been the standing of the UN that America give up their right to protect themselves. With our membership in the UN, we can thwart the plans of the liberal mindset that they know what is good for us and the world.

Another thing that we can do is to continue voting against them, and turning them down when they try to force us to submit to their ridiculous demands. The more money we put into the UN, the greater the influence and power we have to turn them to our way of thinking. Other than that, they would think they could force world sentiment to turn against us and cause us to abide by their demands.

The Clintons are avid supporters of the UN, and their followers and supporters think they are supporting a free thinking nation when they try to get us to submit to the demands the UN makes.

The major advantages are the victories - we need to stay in the UN! We gain the right to say no without the UN dictating to us what we are going to do.

The US has gained the right to be the World's police force that does all of the dirty work for a continueingly more corrupt UN. Europe has all but rolled over and died, we are allowing rogue nations tell us that we are violating Geneva conventions that they do not even follow.

You are joking right? There have been many many things that all the nations within the UN have come together to support. Oh wait, those were all humanitarians efforts... something a right wing war-monger would oppose. Pardon me for expecting you to have a brain.

The United Nations is considered as the world government and the US finance its operations on a large scale to influence it to justify inteventions in other states where it has interests like the oil in Iraq.

Each country in the UN should pay their fair share,
but they don't. The U.S. pays more than any other
country and gets the least respect. I say, lets keep
our money and say bye, bye to the U.N. It started out
good, but like everything else, ended up corrupt.

lets see.....look at the drugs the UN has brought to us. Why just today was it, A top official in the UN was busted on smuggling in a mere 25 TONS of drugs. He of course will fall under diplomatic immunity and will be flown to his home country. Thats all I can think of.....
