oxyclean - it works

To remove an ink stain (if it's not a permanent laundry marker) spray it with hairspray. Whatever chemicals are in hairspray dissolves ballpoint pen ink. Then rub the ink spot in soapy water.

You didn't say what kind of grease you're trying to get out, but assuming it's black grease from a car, there is a fantastic cleaner called Greased Lightening that will take out most of your heaviest stains. But it works best to use it on a fresh stain, not one that has been washed already. Washing an item before treating a stain will usually set it till it's impossible to get it out any way you try.

For any kind of permanent ink stains use aerosol hairspray like aquanet or similar brands,(extra hold works best). Spray directly on stain and allow to dry then wash as normal. For other stains such as grease, there is a bar soap stain remover called Fels Naptha, it works brilliantly. Also stain remover such as Shout stick works well. I hope it works for you! Good Luck.

Ink (ballpoint pen) Stains

Sponge with meths, then rinse thoroughly in cold water. Repeat as necessary.

Ink (liquid & marker) Stains

Remove excess with absorbent paper. Sponge or dip in a solution of equal parts meths and ammonia (spot test on coloured fabrics first). Rinse in warm water

Try using an oxygen based cleaner like Oxyclean. I got a generic version at a dollar store.
