they have shops there, I thought they would all be blown to heck by now! I believe these stories are not true, which may discourage shoplifting. I know if you leave a wallet on the street at 10 am it will still be there at 2 pm. Now who is gonna say otherwise, the same with the shoplifting stuff, until you talk to someone who has gone through it , answers are just hearsay.

I actually saw a video of an 8 year boy that was caught stealing a loaf of bread from a market.
They put his tiny arm underneath a car or truck ( couldn't see that part very well ), and ran over it to crush all the bones in his little arm, so he would never be able to use it again.
One of the most sickening things I've ever seen.
By the way, he was a Muslim, and that's what they did to a child. I can't imagine what would happen to an adult.

The 'Middle East' is a very large area. Each country has different practices and *shock* cultures and people!!!

I think they cut off one hand, but I could be wrong.

What happens is that if you get caught stealing they chop your hand off. If it happens again they chop the other one off.....
