you can open a gmail account only if someone who has a gmail account sends you an invitation. lemme know your email address and i'll send you one.

There is nothing like sign-up for Gmail. Somebody who has Gmail id can invite you and ofcourse to ur current mail id (Yahoo or MSN)

you need to be invited by someone who already has it. Give me your email address and I can send you an invite. Then you will have 15 invites of your own.

you have to be invited by someone who already has gmail. They have something like five invites and they can choose to invite you or not. Just ask a friend who has it to invite you.

you have to get invited by someone. people only have something like 6 invites but that is the only way to get one.
