All "meaning" is interpretation, and thus the "meaning" of a word is always already filtered through a personal screeen. But at the same time, all of our "personal screens" are always already a product of the communities of practice within which we currently or previously exist. There is no (none, zero, zilch) inherent meaning in words. If you think there is, it is because your worldview, generated by your interaction with your linguistic environment, causes you to believe such.

Of course. More than I even know. I don't even answer questions that don't appeal to my interests. But people wouldn't participant in something like this unless they wanted Q & A with the personal touch that only biases can yeild. Without our biases, we'd all be the same because we'd all have to have common expereinces and socializing. And I like the fact that there's only one me. So when it comes to biases, I'm coloring outside the lines. But so far I'm averaging 1 best answer a day, which I guess is good.

I try not to let my biases interfere with questions, rather I should say that I don't pick questions that I am going to have a biased viewpoint of. I try to answer questions that I can help people with, like maybe I have had an experience of my own that relates to their question or sports questions which are usually based on biased opinions, but some people will look at it from your perspective.

I couln't actually rate it on a scale of say 1 to 100.. I read every question that is in front of me, but I only choose to answer ones I feel that I can give an answer too that will help the author of the question. It is rare that I answer a question like this, but I do think personal bias comes into play when answering the question, not necessarily when they are read..

Personal biases are a natural reaction. We naturally want to perceive things as we wish they were. Similarly, we tend to think something is more biased when we disagree with it and to think something isn't biased when we agree on it.
