I know where you are coming from...lol I totally support your opinion... let them know at every turn what you think... People now days have no work ethic. Americans are getting lazier by the minute, and I don't see it improving anytime soon. So, keep up the fight brother! Peace.

I think at some time, someone, somewhere, someplace, asks that same question. The easy answer is that there are lazy people all over, not just where you work. It is a particular characteristic of the human race. On the other hand, there are people who pick up the slack and do more than their fair share of the work. so you can just have easily asked why some people do more than they are asked to do. Although I will concede that the slackers are more numerous than the doers. As for the second part of your question. I have one for you. Are you a supervisor? Are you responsible for what goes on in your department. In that case, you have a right to tell someone he or she is lazy. But if you are just another worker, my answer is that it is none of your business. I know it galls you to see people standing around doing nothing while you are working your butt off, but that is the way it is. Live with it. It isn't going to change. If you don't know it now, people do not like to be criticized even if they are wrong. That's another fact of human nature. In the end, they will suffer for it. It's just not your place to clue them in. Sorry to scold you. I do understand where you are coming from and sympathize.

Do your job, know you are doing a great job and don't worry about what they do! Not your business! Go to your boss, sit down and talk and ask for a higher position! That means more money- and if you make it to management, it's your call, fire the lazy people! Good luck!
