Do you believe you're a bad person? Your religion or nationality doesn't make you a bad person. What you do makes you either a good person or a bad person. There are good and bad people in every race and religion. Because some Muslim's choose to go to the extreme to make a point doesn't mean that all Muslim's are bad. Because some Christian people do bad things in the name of God doesn't mean that all Christians are bad. Those who point fingers at one group of individuals and generalize everyone by what only a few are doing are those who are bad!

I have had many Muslim friends in college and beyond. None of them were "bad" people. I also have a very close friend who was Muslim, came to this country as an exchange student, became a Christian, and now has returned to her country. She was not a bad person in my eyes before she became a Christian, nor afterward. Unfortunately, she has become a very bad person in the eyes of her countrymen, an "infidel" is what such people are called. She must keep her faith in Christ a secret or face persecution, and possibly death.
Consider this: A Muslim in a Christian country is generally accepted, and often befriended by Christians. A Christian in a Muslim country in rarely accepted, and often beheaded! What does that tell you about each religion? If you want to know more about Christianity, simply walk into a church and ask about it. Or check out

Whether you are good or bad has nothing to do with your religion or
race and noone can say all people in a certain race or religion or whatever are bad based on the fact that one person in that race
or religion is bad. So if you are bad,it is just because you are bad!
You can't blame it on anyone else and if people look at you and judge you because of another than they are racist. I am a christian
and I don't think Muslims are bad, and if I did that would be racist.
Don't you agree?

Every race has people that are not nice...that is why certain races are stereotyped. It just so happens that Muslims are stereotyped as terrorists....just as blacks are stereotyped as gang members and whites are supposed to hate every other race except for other whites...but people within those races who are not like that know it's not true. So my question to you is why did you have to come on here to ask that question if you know that you are not a terrorist just because you are Muslim? If people are walking around "all day" calling you a bad person, then that's wrong and you should stand up for yourself--then they will stop, right? If you appear to others to be bad by your activities, then they will accuse. If you appear to be strong and have self-esteem, they will leave you alone. I know it sucks, but that is how it is. I am white/christian but you should see the looks I get and hear what people say when they find out that I am dating a Syrian Muslim. I just shrug it off cause they're ignorant. You can't be ashamed of yourself. EVER. People feed off other's insecurities. Prove them wrong!

Muslims are not bad people. The bad people are the extremists of every faith. I'm willing to bet that most of the people that claim you are a bad person because you are a muslim claim to be Christians. If that is the case I would reccomend that you remind them about some of the bad things done in the world in the name of Christianity as well as it should shut them up. I'll give you a little help, mention to them the crusades, the Oklahoma City bombing, and then bring a more recent event, Andrea Yates and the small children she murdered because she thought they would go to heaven. That should shut them up fairly quickly.

Personally I look at all people as being good people. It is difficult at times when you see people that seem to fit the profile of "Gang Member" and such, to not feel fear and/or anger toward that person. It is in everyones nature to fear the unknown.

People that do not look outside of their safezone of friends, Religion and spoon fed filtered news, will also regurgitate what they have been told/taught from those sources.

When we as a society understand that if we were born in another country, we would have a completely different set of beliefs. Do I think you are a bad person no, do I think muslims in general are inherently bad people, absolutely not. I do think that those people from any culture, country, etc that physically and mentally damage human life without remorse are bad people. There is nothing admirable about launching war on helpless people, be that from a US Cruise Missle or a suicide bomber.

Fear is a weapon of mass distructions. Be proud of who you are and what you believe. Even more so, Know what you believe and why you believe it.

Whats wrong with you, don't pay attention for what others say. Have some faith in yourself, and don't let other slow you down. Muslims are the same as everybody else, and you should be proud of your religion and your believes. Try to convince your enemies that you are a friendly person, and your religion provokes peace and friendship between people. Btw, I'm muslim too.

Muslims are not bad people only the bad people who are muslim make muslims look bad, every race has its stereotype and of course they may look to you as a threat to national security. Those people are just ignorant losers who need a slap and an ***-whopping. Don't let them get you down most muslim people are productive citizens, and the ones that ridicule muslims are jealous and envious so just ignore them.

People say things like that because they have no concept that people are individuals.

Unfortunately, some really evil individuals have hijacked your religion for their own gain. For many uneducated and simple people, people who see the world in black and white with no shades of grey, this means that all people of that religion are evil.

I'll be honest. I struggle with it. I got on a plane recently and in an Atlanta layover, I saw a group of Muslims waiting for a plane. My heart beat a little faster and my first instinct was that they "might be up to something." But I was quickly able to recognize that it was an unfair assumption and remind myself that I was thinking in a prejudiced manner.

The difference between people like me and people who will hate you because of your religion is that people like me will actually think about what our assumptions are and not just accept them as fact.

The best you can do is educate others about yourself - let them know by your words and actions that being Muslim does not mean that you condone the murder of others.

I'm a Christian, and I know that I don't want to have people assuming that because I'm a Christian that Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson speak for me. I try to give other religions the same consideration. I fall short sometimes - but I try.

Muslims are not bad people. Muslim terrorists are bad people. If you do not support terrorism, then you are not a bad person in that sense. If you really don't want to be a bad person, then you probably aren't.
