Normally I would dress casually with my last boyfriend, but my new one is a little on the picky side. What is something that doesn't look like I tried too hard, because I don't know what to wear and what accessories to put on. Also, I don't know if I should wear make up or not, and how to fix my hair. I need tips, because I haven't been on a date in a year and I want to look good for my first date in 2006.

it's hard because i don't know what you look like.. but i'll give u a few outfits you can try and you can pick which one you like best.
i'm majoring in fashion.. and i'm an intern for Elle magazine!! =] so i think i can help.
- there's always the little cute black dress with little black sandals with a heel [i'll give u links of pictures]. wear a silver neckelace with a silver or diamond bracelet if you have one. wear your hair wavy.. but not too wavy.. [i'll give u pictures too lol]
another outfit is...
- a solid neutral color shirt [olive green, brown, tan, off-white, white] under a little jacket.. or blazer.. ooh! i just had an idea.. how about, a dark olive green or brown blazer with a solid off-white shirt under it. wear a brown leather widebelt over the blazer right above the bellybutton. then, wear a dressy pants, capris, or bermuda shorts with cute flats...
good luck!! look in magazines too.

Well since it's summer I think you should stick with maybe a skirt not too short a light color like light blue and a halter or tank top and shoes that go with some earrings that dangle but not the really big ones and a cute little bracelet maybe one your friend might have made for you, maybe a little makeup but not too much no lipstick just chap stick, you should wear your hair up for two reasons one it's hot and two showing a little neck is harmless and a jacket that goes in case it gets cold and you should stick with light colors because dark colors attract the sun.

You didn't say where you're going, but one outfit that works for almost anything is a pair of nice black pants with a pretty tank or camisole top and a light weight sweater or jacket. Small black purse and black sandals or boots depending on season. Wear your hair the way you normally do, as well as your makeup. Just maybe a bit more mascara...just a bit.

Wear a cute blue jean skirt, with a camisole thats got sequence at the top, wear white flip flops or flop flops that match your shirt, wear a silver toned necklace with hoop earrings, and wear your hair down with the tips barley curled out. And wear soft sensual makeup nothing to heavy, Good luck.
Or instead of the camisole.. a polo shirt with a camisole under it, but make sure you can see the camisole!

just dress cute. if you dont feel pretty, it'll be a horrible night for you. You wont enjoy yourself. remember: you always want to be overdressed than underdressed. and if hes taking you to a nice restaurant you'll be glad you dressed up a lot and you'll feel pretty all at the same time. but good luck. im sure you'll look gorgeous, he'll let you know- dont worry! :)

it's hard to answer without seeing what's in your closet and what your hair is like. i know this may sound generic but if this were me, i would put makeup on but not caked-on clown-face makeup...and i'd wear a cute top but dress it down with a pair of nice jeans and cute shoes. accessorize simply ... key is SIMPLICITY. I'd wear my hair down...?

maybe wear your hair down and straightened it. wear a dressy top with a pair of nice, "dressy" looking jeans. for accessories, i would do a pearl necklace and a bracelet and then maybe, maybe a simple silver ring.

Try a skirt with some leggins and a longer shirt. wear your hair down but have it in lose curls at the end.

Be yourself, don't do anything like going out of the way to please someone else when you are going out with them, like what you are wearing, either they like the person you are or they don't, once you start habits like this, you will have to continue, and is he waiting on pins and needles to see if you are going to like what he's wearing?? Just be yourself, if it's not good enough for him then maybe he's not good enough for you!!!!

YES WEAR MAKE UP NOT TOOMUCH YOU DON'T WANT TO LOOK LIKE YOU ARE TRYING TOO HARD! A SKIRT WILL LOOK CUTE WITH A NOT TOO DRESSY TOP AND PUMPS!
