No, the fish won't be okay - the compression caused by the bass (the thump-thump-thump that you can feel in your chest) will also be hitting the fishtank, and it will transmit vibrations through the water to the fish's lateral line.
This is the same thing that makes fish jump when you tap on the glass of their fishtank. It's like hitting your knee with a reflex hammer - imagine that happening constantly with no way to stop it. As the other poster said, the constant agitation will eventually stress them so much that they will die.

Back in the mid 80's (not that I'm old or anything!) I played bass in a metal band. We were as loud as you would expect a metal band to be, we didn't skimp on equipment. We practiced at the drummer's house, who also bred oscars. Breeding fish are happy fish, the fish didn't mind the disturbance at all.

Bass is about 5 times stronger under water, so yes, it will cause the fish to panic and eventually, well, die.

I would mave the fish tank or decreade the volume. Your fish feel the vibrations and it stresses them.

of course it will effect fish... sound travels better in water than in air... the vibrations must really annoy them...
