When I started growing tomatoes I advice I got from an old time nuseryman was to leave only 5 hands (bunches) of blossoms and only 5 blossoms to a hand for a total of 25 blossoms to a plant. That way the strength of the plant will go to the fruit. Also, after you have the 5 hands you need to pinch off all others and pinch the tops off the plants. Have been doing as he said for 40 yrs. and I have nice tomatoes.

Pinching off blooms will reduce the amount of tomatoes and (might) result in a larger tomato. You can always fry the green ones!
