(my last question explains the turmoil I am in) I'm not looking for an easy way, but the Liberal way! My wife is not to happy about this but I think I can flip her over to the right (sorry, left) side. I'm going to have to mull this over somemore tonight. This is BIG life change. Thank you for your support.

Well, don't flip your wife over too much, or else she might flip out! (lol)

If you aren't looking for "the easy way", then try to determine what is true --not opinion, not what's popular, not what's "politically correct" (for either 'left' or 'right') -- but, what is actually true -- about the economy, about the war in Iraq, about 9-11-01, etc.

Because, whether you think of yourself as "right", "left", Democrat, or Republican, wouldn't be better to think of oneself first as a patriot, and a citizen of the USA?? We are all affected by world events, and the real economic breakdown that is currently in progress. I disagree with Newt Gingrich most of the time, but even he admits that the situation between Israel - Lebanon could be the start of WWIII (I think it was on "Face the Nation".)

I certainly hope you don't push everything you believe in on your wife. She's got a mind of her own too, and she should follow what she believes in, not what you believe in. It seems this country is being divided by the 2 political groups rather than the two working together to make America a great country. I believe in the person who can do the best job, not whether they're liberal or conservative..

my hubby and i can be on opposites in politics but that does not mean we change each other for to change a persons beliefs on political or even religious topics can make a person into someone they are not. it is OK to think different
