Marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, unless the spouse is being really abusive. Marriage is something that is never perfect or easy, it's only perfect if you are able to work through all the problems that arise for the rest of your life, even infidelity. Marriage is not something to get into if you think you are going to always be happy, and nothing is ever going to go wrong. Marriage is God's bond. Above and beyond, marriage is a promise made between a man and a woman to God, that should never be broken unless, like I said in the beginning there is abuse. Sadly enough too many people do not understand what marriage is. They get divorced because they are tired of each other, or they can't stand each other, or they are interested in being with others, etc. These are not reasons to divorce, nobody ever said marriage was easy, and if you thought it was, then you shouldn't be getting married. There is help, and there are ways to get along. If you don't include God in your marriage the chances are that you will end up divorced like everybody else. You know, now-a-days, to get married and then divorce is the in thing to do. It's not a serious commitment, because if people took it that way our divorce rates wouldn't be so high.

Marriage in my words is two people commiting their life and love to each other, good or bad, for a lifetime. I think a marriage will have ups and downs and being able to move past the downs makes your marriage or your relationship in general much richer. There is something to be said for being committed to someone else, feeling comfortable and in love with them, not just "growing old together" but LIVING their life together and bringing out the best in each other.

Marriage is my way of showing God and my wife, a lifetime committment to both in a world my wife and I are building together. A world of never ending love, to grow in, to learn in,to experience new things together in, to raise our kids and grandson in, to grow old together. Our rings are our proof to God of out committment to him and each other and our love. Basically, marriage means together in good and bad times, rich and poor, sick and health, everything thats comes our way. Together, we are as one that cannot be divided or torn apart, a unique strength of one

it means :"warning: the surgeon general has determined that marriage is hazardous to your health and may result in death." Needless to say, I'm on the patch.
