I am unfamiliar with any race car drivers. But I have noticed some people, face to face, that without a doubt knew the end was very close.
Another example, but not face to face, was when Jimi Hendrix wrote "Angel" ( read the lyrics if you've never heard it ).
There are many more people I knew personally that acted peculiar, more than usual, that died within 24 hours. In summation, I would say he, Earnhardt knew the end was near.

I hate to say this DALE died on the track, racing,...i think that the way he would of liked to....how many have died doing the thing they loved to do?? i know i would...According to the UNAUTHORIZED MOVIE 3, yes he had dreams that something bad was going to happen to him, I think he just wanted to continue racing and retire the same year that his good friend Rusty Wallace retired.,i hope Thersa, in the near future will let an authorized movie be made about his real life... the good things that never came out..like how much he has done for his community,,,his just giving things like time and money that never ever made it to the media..he was a very tough guy on the track but a very giving person in life.. yes as ~DALE may he R.I.P #3 forever

yes, he knew. 1. he never said anything to kyle petty about adams death until just before that race when he shook kyles hand and talked about adam with him. 2. he raced the 24 hrs of daytona just weeks prior to that and never had. 3. the terry labonte, "if i make it that long." comment. 4. the first time he ever walked down pit row and shook everybodies hand just before the race. 5. he was unusually MORE than usual, i should say, attentive to and affectionate with teresa just prior to start of race. 6. he had never held back and blocked for his son and waltrip for a win before, it was always all guts or no glory!!! 7. the famous prayer with a pastor at the side of his car just prior to start. i saw in an answer prior to mine a comment about how he never would have given up his family and gotten in that car. racing is what drove him, i believe he felt it was his destiny and his time, i believe God used this to turn things around and save thousands upon thousands of race car drivers lives in every level and every series of racing because if he allowed dale to go be with Him in heaven, his death would cause the entire world to take safety more seriously, and it did!! God bless the memory of ralph dale earnhardt sr.

well thats the rae that got me into nascar big time...and now that im 110% fan..i could only say dale knew he was gonna drive wtih his all that day and it ws probably not a very safe feeling...you got to remember that they had no hahnes device,or safer barrierrs or fire extinguisehers or alot of the saftey devices they have now....open faceed helmets and gogggles ..dam at that time event he pit crws didnt have helmets..so i dont think he knew it was his time or he would have relaxed but ...he drove his heart out that day and dnger is part of the sport..without it..you get tony wrecking ppl every race like candy cause no one ever gets hurt(thank god!) but in dales time he put his balls out and did what he does best again race for the win or help his teammates...Any one anywhere with a heart for racing ..has got to respect that and thats one of his many legacy's.......#3.

No I don't think that Dale knew. He was just racing like he always did. Bumping is part of racing and even Dale Jr. would tell you that himself. The most I can say is that he died doing what he loved to do. Racing.

I think he "expected" to die racing, I doubt he knew THAT day was the day, but maybe it crossed his mind! One thing I can say, and it makes me sad saying, at least the man died doing what he loved! How many people can say that? Not many! If it's your time, it's your time...the end of 3 made me so sad with his dad at the "gate"!

very nearly feels like a particular. 4/sixty 4 feels like that is serial numbered, purely sixty 4 exist. the solid ingredient is the Peter Max is one among Dales maximum needed products. a lengthy time period decrease back, Diecast Digest (no longer in flow) booked the a million/24 (the a million 24 scale, better automobile) Elite for $a million,576.00. i purchased mine on ebay for 350. So I imagine that is worth extremely plenty, yet no one of their correct options ought to pay a million,000 or extra for a automobile. So that is worth what ever it ability to you, or what ever someone is prepared to pay for it. besides the undeniable fact that that is a cool automobile, and one among my favorites. i ought to hang on to it if I were you.

Well, I don't know. But I can't really see how he could have known he was going to die. I just don't see how that's possible for someone to know.
