plenty of non-gay women get it on with each other so I have no problem curing dyke-ness.

And yes there IS something wrong with gay people..for god's sakes they're attracted to the same sex. That is a defect

you can't cure someone if there's nothing wrong with them.

get over yourself and your fears of what you don't understand.

J. Somethingo has it right.
And, the gene isolation is possible (if not now, in the near future)

This raises A MAJOR MEDICAL ETHICAL DILEMMA...

It is conceivable (definitely no pun intended) that a couple, knowing they are carrying a fetus with a "gay" gene could choose to abort the fetus. This would cause such an uproar in society. This could produce a MAJOR SHIFT IN THE ABORTION DEBATE...many of those pro life would switch their position and abort. Many of those who are currently pro choice might alter their position so as to oppose "choice" when it is being used to abort a fetus carrying a "gay" gene (and therefore preventing the birth of many of history"s most brilliant achievers!).

The above discussion was the subject of a brilliant play - "THE TWILIGHT OF THE GOLDS". It was first performed in 1993. I saw it with Jennifer Grey. It was made into a movie 4 years later.

I think that might have something to do with Pentagon listing gay as a disorder, but I think there were some weird technical reasons for doing so and possibly linked to Bush admin's opposition to gay marriage.

But no doctor in right mind will ever even try to some how 'cure' gayness. If they do why not find cure for people who curse, commit crime, lie, like fat woman, like skinny woman... molest children etc

Homosexuallity is not a disease but a variation of normality. You would expect a normal range of possibe behaviours to include many different sexual inclinations. After all is it not the brain the most complex organ in all of evolution. What makes you think that heterosexuallity is the only "normal" orientation. Perhaps you belong to a different species, not Homo sapiens sapiens but Homo stupidus stupidus. Start reading and get an education before your brain atrophies. Get to know some gay people too.

You know something that's funny? Most people who believe gays are born that way also believe in Evolution. So how is gayness passed on and not 'naturally deselected" out of the population? You would think after thousands of generations of people not passing the gay gene, there would be no gays. Actually, there is not a gay gene because being gay is a choice, I personally know 2 guys who used to be VERY gay, and that are now not. (One is married and has a kid)

Generally speaking homosexuality is not a disease and so there is no such thing as a "cure".

There are as many manly homosexuals as heterosexuals. There are as many "limp wristed" heterosexuals as homosexual. Has nothing to do with sexual orientation.

Your stereotype of homosexuals is false and indicates that what you really need to cure is your ignorance.

I'm not homosexual myself but I find that people who stereotype homosexuals usually know very little about sex of any type and have a lot of questions about their own sexuality. So what is probably really bothering you is your own self doubts about your own feelings, dreams, emotions, and so forth. Hopefully as you mature you will feel a little more secure about who you are and not need to put other people down to make yourself look better.

There is a cure. First of all, we should use love and kindness, as this is NO different then any other SIN! If we purposefully committ sin, God is not pleased. Homosexuality is sin, just as drug abuse and racism. It is through salvation, which literally means diliverence, via Jesus Christ that homosexuals can be cured. I know former gays who are now saved and are straight.

I think it's predetermined with the genes you arrive with. What with cloning and how they can identify and eliminate certain genes I would think it scientifically possible. Would it cause controversy and an uprising from the gay/lesbian population...I'm sure it would. Would science and technology do the research to identify the gene...I bet they would. Would they offer a test in vitro to isolate and correct this gene...wow...I'm not sure about that one. Sure would be interesting to see and listen to the fighting and debates about it though. Frankly, I think you've just asked one of the best questions I've seen on here.

Oh for crying out loud, homosexuality is NOT a disease like cancer, diabetes or heart disease!
Obviously you have no gay friends, and are unable to objectively judge both sides of the issue.

Expand your horizon.......just because there are different people of different sexualities in this world doesnt mean you have to come down on them. No...I'm not gay, but this question needs to be deleted-totally inappropriate.
