You asked for it. Here it is: You get hit with a lightningbolt. You see that person, whether for the first time or after a lifetime of seeing him or her, and you hear them say something or see them do something, and it just hits you. You have no control over it, you don't know when or if it's coming. It just plops right on top of you and you can't escape it. Your every thought is consumed by that person, and you MUST do everything you can to have every moment possible with that person. This is not obsession. This is true love. This is the way it was for me and my husband, and we've been married for over 25 years. We've not had an easy time of it, in fact, it's been very difficult for one reason or another. Through it all, however, we knew we could count on each other to be there. We've seen each other at our best and at our worst, dressed up and all elegant and really sexy and "hotties" to the world, knowing we belonged to each other, and the other end of the scale, puking into a brown paper bag over the side of the bed, either cuz we're sick with the flu or drank too much the night before, or just had surgery that morning. It doesn't matter what we looked like to each other, it's all in the soul. If you get hit with that lightning bolt, more often than not, that person gets hit with the same bolt and you're doomed to love each other for the rest of your lives.
