Lilly is a very beautiful name. But I'm not sure about Velivia, is not very nice sounding and it's not easy to call. I think if you name your child Velivia in a couple of years she/or someone would come up with a easy saying nickname and she would take as her usual name.
If you are really ken on those two names why not Lilly Velivia, this way her first name would be Lilly.

I love the name Lilly, but the first thing I thought of after trying to read it a few times was ...a female body part. Please don't try to be unique at the expense of your baby. If you like "V" names, how about Valerie,or Vanessa, or Vivianne, or Victoria. Remember, you and she have to live with this name for a long time. Different, too different, can wear out soon.

I like the Lilly part, but I have to agree with the others about the Velivia part. It is pretty, but try to think of all the mean things kids say to other kids in school. You wouldn't want her to have a low self-esteem just because of her name.

Velivia sounds like it could be part of a woman's sexual anatomy. Just thinking about the name-calling when in school. I do like Lilly, though.

Before I saw that you added the pronounciation...I thought it was pronounced...VEL-via, like velveeta. Maybe if you spelled it with an "a". Valivia, it would be easier to guess on the pronouciation. But other than that, once it was figured out, yes, it's pretty.

Put the LIly first , then put Velivia second

It's better to have something that unique as a second name plus the velveeta factor

my daughter 2nd name is simplicia and she loves having a unique name 2nd

My daughters name is Liliana Reed...Lilly for short. Lilly seems to be THE name lately. I think the one you picked is beautiful and unique. Go for it!

It has a nice aura to it. Yell it out your back door a couple of thousand times, because that is about the amount of time you will call that name out within any given summertime. If you still like the name - then it's a winner :)

It makes no difference at all what I or any of these people think. If you like the name you need no ones apporoval (except maybe your husbands?) Any name you suggest there are going to be negative comments. Let me just say to let them go in one ear and out the other... no you should not name your child a simple name just because it will be easier on other people...just as long as you like it, and teach your child to love it and who they are...it doesn't matter....
