When you love you end up hurting yourself.
When you hate you end up hurting those who would vanquish you given half an opportunity.
Love is unproductive and completely transitory, like snowflakes on hot pavement love evaporates.
Hate paves a way around morality, making individual rewards much more achievable. Hate is an enduring emotion, hate is reliable.
How often have you heard, "I will love you forever" and actually had it happen.
Remember who took your virginity? Where are they now?
I still hate my kindergarten rival after almost 37 years.
Hate is an ageless beauty, immune to the vortex of time. Hate is underrated and leaves overrated love in the dust.

Love never dies, it just changes...and to hate someone you need to care about them in some shape or form. Like I could love someone then stop going out with them and I could still love them as a friend or if they cheated on me then I could hate them because I previously cared about them. The honeymoon period is great after that I suppose it could get a little samey but you can control your relationship take it by the horns and make it better and more passionate or wild whatever you want, when you love someone its never overrated. Hate can only stay when you care, if you stop thinking about it and caring I'm sure one day you'll find you don't care and you're just indifferent about the situation.
Love just changes very dramatically there's always a chance to re-spark love if you have the guts, you never forget or stop loving someone you well and truly loved. You need to be in love to really know. Like its the feel you get with being with them and knowing they've got your back whenever you need them its not what you can do or the passion you can get its just the feel not obsession or infatuation either its just "being" together but for other people it may be different, hourses for courses. I think people say love is overrated when they mistake lust or something else for real love, yes you can get hurt but that's when you put more into loving someone than they love you.

There is love and there is romantic love. I'll take love over hate anytime.
One-sided love is overrated, it's easier to find and it hurts like hell.
Requited love is not overrated it is elusive; it is the kind love we seek, but rarely find. It is the 'stuff' of successful long term relationships. It makes the world brighter; life's woes are easier to handle. It may not be a cure but it sure is a preventer!!!
Hate is easier to feel because you don't need a significant other to do it with. ( But love, ah love.......you need reciprocation for that!! )
With hate you can sit in your room all alone and hate anyone or anything for as long as you want. This makes hate seem powerful. But even with all that power, love could still overcome hate.
In other words 'love can beat the sh*t out of hate anytime'.

I hope not. I don't think REAL love could ever be overrated. Keeping in mind there is more that just one kind of love.
For example, I love my children to the depths of my soul....
I have loved different men in my life, but once they are gone I don't waste time looking back.....
These are just two examples of different love.
As far as hate lasting forever....I feel sorry for those who harbor it. I'm inclined to say "Just let it go and move on".
Life is too short, at least for some of us.
Peace.

Love - true love is certainly not overrated. It can make life full and when shared with someone with whom you are truly connected can help erase some of the hate that is inside us all. Both are just four letter words I realize, but both are very powerful words. Love is not perfect, but it can help you on your search for yourself and a little arguement now and again can reinforce the love that binds people together.

Love is not overrated - lust (which is confused with love ) is overrated. Hate last forever because we allow it to go on and on and on until it consumes us and that allows that person to have control over us - while they are busy with their lives, thoughts, actions, etc. - we are consumed with the wrong that they have done unto us and allowing our view of love, life, etc to become tainted and jaded - the best medicine for this is to find out what love not lust really is and then forgive that person - take the lesson from the situation and move on - leaving your heart, mind, and sanity intact.

First of all: the word "love" is to often mistaken for infatuation and/or sex.
True love is out going! What can I do or be for the next person?
Not what can that person mean or be to me. That's infatuation, often called love at first site. It may grow into real love, and that's the best thing that can happen to a relationship.
Love requires understanding and forgiveness. Hate is the opposite. It does neither forgive nor even try try to understand.

There's a thin line between love and hate. The reason hate last forever is because you don't have to work for it, love takes hard work and dedication, but it's worth it I think. Either way it's better to mingle than be single.

Yes, love is overrated. People seem to think that if they're in love with someone, they have to spend the rest of their lives with that person. It's a ridiculous assumption.
