She probably doesn't want the lights on because she is self-conscious about her body. Make sure that you regularly reassure her that she is beauiful and sexy, even when you aren't in the bedroom. If she knows that you love her body, she will let you see it.

I can relate to your wife's wishes, I too perfer the lights off. I am not sure why other than the sex is usually better when I can really concentrate on how my man feels rather than have the lights on because then I notice a cob web in the corner or that the nightstand needs dusting.....its all a distraction. Talk to her find out why she must have the lights off maybe she is embarrassed by her facial expressions...

I was watching a comentary on a movie, a female charecter was looking at herself in the mirror and critiqueing her body, and the director said, "What women don't understand is that we are just glad they are there. that's all we want is them there and to touch and see them" this is very true.
