Tuna by itself is very healthy, but today's tuna contains way too much Mercury to be considered safe. Mercury does not leave the body, it just accumulates until it makes you sick.

The US FDA sets the limits of tuna's mercury content to 1000 parts per billion (ppb). However Defenders of Wildlife have just release a large document showing that tuna's mercury content from some countries is at 1500 (ppb).

According to the document Is Our Tuna “Family-Safe”? Mercury in America’s Favorite Fish tins of fish from Ecuador, Mexico and Costa Rica had dangerously high mercury concentrations.

Tuna's good for anybody. Just not all the time.

Mix tuna with spicey brown mustard, a little pickle relish & bingo! you've got a great tuna salad for your sandwich. Use whole grain bread too & an apple for dessert.

Yes & no. You might want to moderate your consumption of canned tuna because of high mercury levels, thanks to our president widening loopholes in the Clean Air & Clean Water acts so big you could drive truckloads of toxins through them.

I think any kind of fish is good for anyone. Don't gorge yourself on tuna, you'll get sick.
