You can walk up until the moment you are giving birth if you are able to do so. I took dance and aerobics classes with my son until I was 7 months along. I stopped only because everytime I moved I felt like I had to pee. Then I started walking and wheeling myself around in a wheelchair. I developed really great upper body strength which was an immense benefit in the hospital, since my epidural made me completely numb on one side only.

walk as long as you can. Try to be careful though, when its really really hot. Stop when you get tired. Walking is great exercise. I walked everyday up until the day I went into labor.

As long as you are comfortable doing it. I too was able to walk around while in labor with my second. It was a very fast labor about 4 hours so take your walks and enjoy.

Your body will let you know when you are done and if your body fails i promise your doctor will let you know. If you were already walking and exercising when you got pregnant then your body is already used to physical exercise and that is a plus. Being fit will not only help you carry your baby but it will make delivery easier. Congratulations and hope all goes well.

walking is good for you and the baby specially if your due date is near. it depends on the person actually.. for example, i work so i do a lot of walking and i noticed now my belly is bigger (im 27 weeks pregnant), i can only walk 10 minutes straight, then i feel im having a hard time to breath and soo tired so i stop and take a rest or seat.. so theres really NO IDEAL time to walk.. just walk and if you feel tired and having a hard time to breath it means your baby saying "stop mom take a rest" and you better listen to the baby... :) congratulations..
